I ran on my proven track record of delivering results for our community. Here's a look back at my office's work in 2022.
I’ve advocated for an elected school board for Chicago Public Schools. We also funded expansions to our schools’ technology and programming to prepare students for brighter futures in the 21st century.
I was the chief sponsor of legislation to hire more police officers, improve training, and invest in officer wellness. I also worked to install more pod cameras and license plate readers to crack down on crime in our ward.
I’ve directed investments to local infrastructure, building and repairing streets, sidewalks, curbs, sewers, alleys, parks and viaducts.
I connected our local businesses with resources to survive the pandemic and cut red tape for entrepreneurs opening new businesses.
I declined a pay raise and voted against pay raises for the mayor, city clerk, and city treasurer. I introduced legislation to crack down on corruption by making it illegal for spouses of Chicago politicians to work as paid lobbyists.
